Torey Hayden
Torey Hayden is an American author of mainly non-fiction. She is a highly educated child psychologist, teacher, lecturer and consultant. Born in Montana in 1951, she is extremely dedicated to the many charities she endorses, and to her hobbies, including archeology, and breeding Black Welsh Mountain Sheep!
Many of her books focus on problems in childhood, including fetal alcohol syndrome, sexual abuse and psychiatric conditions. She has worked extensively in her field, and is renowned for her expertise. She has a daughter, Sheena, from her marriage to Scotsman Ken. They met after Torey moved to Wales in 1980, shortly after One Child was released.
