THE COMPASS is a life transformation parable that guides the reader through his or her own personal journey of self-discovery. At the core of The Compass are specific life lessons about belief systems authenticity and understanding who you really are in order to live your destiny and understand your role and connectedness to the world. As humans we are all connected: by love by pain and sometimes even by major tragedies or events that occur in the world. Each one of us travels a very specific and unique path yet we are all connected by our experiences and emotions.
THE COMPASS opens with the main character Jonathan on a trek all alone in the wilderness. He has just suffered a terrible tragedy that has changed the direction of his life and he has been unable to settle back into his normal suburban existence. Jonathan's family was torn apart in one sudden brief moment. His wife and young child were involved in an horrific car accident and ever since he has felt numb to everything happening around him. Unable to continue life as normal he sets off on a journey a journey that leads him around the world.
Jonathan's journey into the wild is a metaphor for the journey of life with its intermittent peaks and valleys. The underlying message of the book is that there are specific people you will meet and circumstances you will endure during life that will lead you towards your destiny. The book teaches the reader that understanding what is happening and being able to see the unseen is key to achieving success in this world.
