Andrew Gross was born in 1952. He is an American author, best known for his collaborations with suspense writer James Patterson. After graduating with an MBA from Columbia University, Andrew worked for a women's clothing company that was started by his Grandfather. He later worked for HEAD Ski & Tennis, and le coq sportif.
He had been trying to get a manuscript published, and an editor gave a copy to James. They met for breakfast, and the rest, as they say, is history. Andrew (thinking they might write one novel together) ended up collaborating with JP on six books over seven years. In 2007 he released The Blue Zone and has gone on to publish more stand alone novels since, usually about one per year.
