About the Author: Mem Fox

Mem Fox was born in Melbourne, but shortly afterwards her parents moved to Africa where they became missionaries in Zimbabwe. When Mem was 18, she went to England and attended drama school, where she met her husband. On returning to Australia, Mem took up teaching, and her daughter Chloe was born. Mem has received many major honours and widespread acclaim for her numerous children's books, which include the international bestseller Possum Magic, illustrated by Julie Vivas, and Koala Lou, illustrated by Pam Lofts.
