Julian Stockwin is an author of historical action adventure fiction.
He was born in the English town of Basingstoke in 1944, but has lived in many parts of the world including Australia and the Far East and now home is Corinthia', an eighteenth century house in a quiet part of Devon.
After his naval career, where he saw service around the world, including the Far East and South Sea Islands, Julian graduated from the University of Tasmania in Far Eastern studies and Psychology. He was teaching for two years and practiced as an educational psychologist.
He got involved in the manufacture and design of computers and software development. Returning to the navy and the Royal Navy Reserve, Stockwin was honoured with an MBE and retired as Lt Commander.
His wife saw his potential as a writer and persuaded him to give it a go. He returned to the United Kingdom in 1990 and started to write in 1996. Naturally the subject was the sea. He currently resides in Ivybridge, Devon.
