The Johnny Trilogy 1: Only You Can Save Mankind by Terry Pratchett, ISBN 9780552139267

> Children's Books > Fiction Books

As the mighty alien fleet from the very latest computer game thunders across the computer screen, Johnny prepared to blow them into the usual million pieces. And they send him a message: We Surrender.

They're not supposed to do that. They're supposed to die. And computer joysticks don't have 'Don't Fire' buttons . . . It's hard enough trying to save Mankind from the Galactic Hordes. It's even harder trying to save the Galactic Hordes from Mankind. But it's only a game, isn't it.

Isn't it?

A hugely entertaining and thought provoking new adventure from the master of comic fantasy, Terry Pratchett, author of the bestselling 'Truckers' trilogy.

The Johnny Trilogy 1: Only You Can Save Mankind by Terry Pratchett

About the Author: Terry Pratchett

Terry Pratchett

Sir Terence David John Pratchett(born 28 April 1948) is an English novelist, known for his frequently comical work in the fantasy genre. He sold his first story when just 13, and made enough money to buy a second hand typewriter, and has since gone on to be published into 33 languages and has sold more than 45 million books.
Terry worked as a journalist, among other jobs, until he turned to writing full time in 1987. He published the first of his Discworld series in 1983, The Color Of Magic. As far as contemporary English-language satirists go, Terry is one of the most highly regarded, and has won several awards, including being knighted in 2009, and has had bestowed no less than four honorary doctorates from UK Universities.
Pratchett has suffered with ill health from the mid 2000's but remains optimistic stating he'll be right "for at least a few more books yet".
