Reviews of Towers of Capital by Colin Lizieri
Towers of Capital Reviewed by Anonymous, 15/05/2012 This is an expensive book but a tremendous introduction to commercial real estate and, in particular, big city office markets in the aftermath of the global financial crisis. The author explains how the tenants, the owners and the providers of debt for mega-offices in financial centres are locked together, linking the fortunes of offices in major cities both to the international financial markets and to each other. This creates a huge risk of contagion, a shock in one market rippling through to others. It isn't an easy read but full of great insights.
