Those who enjoyed reading the book by Odo Hirsch's, Bartlett and the Ice Voyage, are guaranteed to enjoy Darius Bell and the Glitter Pool. A story that will inspire you to be all that you can be and to not take advantage of your friends or family. Darius Bell and the Glitter Pool will mostly appeal to younger readers that enjoy adventure stories and learning about friendship, loyalty, persistence and family from the age of nine to twelve.
An adventurous story set in a small town and shows how no matter what happens you have to keep trying and demonstrates how a young boy, (Darius Bell) can help his family and show the whole town something amazing. It also shows that no matter what happens you should always be grateful for what you get. Overall I thought it was a fantastic book that couldn't be put down. Odo Hirsch's style of writing is very captivating and easy to understand.
