Between 1974 and 1979, he had a long string of wins in drawing contests held in his North Frisian hometown of Bredstedt, Germany. Later, magazines including Stern, Spiegel, Men's Health, Playboy, Wirtschaftswoche, and ramp became aware of his talents. Since completing his studies in communications design, Jepsen has made his home in Essen, Germany.
