Now a major motion picture. Surprised to find himself reborn as a rambunctious golden-haired puppy after a tragically short life as a stray mutt, Bailey's search for his new life's meaning leads him into the loving arms of 8-year-old Ethan. During their countless adventures Bailey joyously discovers how to be a good dog.

But this new life as a beloved family pet is not the end of Bailey's journey. Reborn as a puppy yet again, Bailey wonders - will he ever find his purpose?

Touching, insightful, and often laugh-out-loud funny, A Dog's Purpose is not only the story of a dog's many lives, but also a dog's-eye commentary on human relationships and the unbreakable bonds that hold us all together, man and man's best friend alike. The story teaches us that love never dies, that our true friends are always with us, and that every creature on Earth is born with a purpose.

Beautiful
A story told through the eyes of the dog. Tears were shed, laughs were given.

This book is about 'man's best friend' but with a spin...it is told entirely through the dogs eyes. The best part though is the fact that throughout the book the dog gets reincarnated a few times and as the reader you get to experience what life is like for a dog in a number of circumstances and how these may play a part in the dogs experiences in life. I will admit...I did cry (a couple of times.) Your heart strings will be pulled (tugged hard in some places.) We’ve all had a best friend who identified in the canine, feline or rodent persuasion so we can all relate to what the book is trying to say, whilst giving us a new angle of the story to consider. A fascinating read for all animal lovers and an ode to the most humble, reliable and dedicated member of our families. - Belinda (QBD)
