A Thousand Splendid Suns
A truly fascinating and evocative book by the author of "the Kite Runner". Once again set across a number of decades in Afganistan, but this time told from the perspective of two women. An amazing, engrossing, and moving book, particularly for someone (like myself) with very little knowledge of the history of this country.
