Dear Santa, Love Floss is the tale of a rainbow-coloured reindeer, who is just as sparkly on the inside as she is on the outside. Floss’ dream is to one day help guide Santa’s sleigh. After countless letters to Santa - sent every year, and hours waiting at the mailbox, without ever a reply, Floss makes the heartbreaking decision one Christmas that she won’t be sending Santa anymore letters. She is left questioning if she will ever get the opportunity to guide Santa’s sleigh. Just as Floss’ mum is left wondering why Floss is not at her usual spot by the mailbox waiting for Santa’s reply, there is much anticipation as Floss’ mum holds up an envelope and then excitement as Floss discovers that Santa had been getting her letters and that her help is urgently required at the North Pole.
Floss’ excitement quickly turns to fear when she starts to think that perhaps she won’t be able to keep up with the other reindeer, or that maybe she’ll mess up her landings, or maybe she will even forget which way to go! It is with a little help from Floss’ mum that Floss realises all she needs is to believe in herself, and that she can guide Santa’s sleigh just as she had been practicing. And so, after a little thought and some encouraging words from her loving mum, Floss takes the leap of faith and flies off in the direction of the North Pole. With a little trepidation and a tremble in her legs Floss arrives at the North Pole. It is along her journey through the night sky guiding Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve that Floss realises she didn’t need to be so scared, and that her mum was right: she just needed to believe she could, because, she did.
