In the blink of an eye all the adults disappear in a small town in southern California and no one knows why. First a car crash; a house up in flames; then a complete communication meltdown... Suddenly cut off from the outside world, those that are left are trapped, and there's no help on the way. They must do all they can to survive. Chaos rules the streets. Gangs begin to form. Sides are chosen - strong or weak. Cruel or humane. A new world order is rising, and, even scarier, some survivors have power - power that no one has ever seen before...
A thrilling page turner that leaves you wanting more, this series is perfect for fans of John Marsden or James Marsden. Imagine if every single person above the age of 15 suddenly vanishes? How would the new society work? Who would form allegiances? Fast paced and at times terrifying. Brilliant read. - Tricia (QBD)
Reminiscent of Under the Dome and Lord of the Flies, this series is dark, brutal and twisted, but trust me, you won't be able to put it down! Gone is GO GO GO from start to finish, and you'll find yourself desperate for the next book when you reach the end. - Kristy (QBD)
The plot really captures the character's emotions, personalities and relationships with one another and it was full of adventure, danger, emotions and more. It was also full of gruesome, violent and paranormal scenes which I am not opposed to; I like reading that sort of thing. Although, the love relationship between certain characters seemed very rushed and moved too fast; it wasn't easy to feel their connection. That was the only let-down of this book. It is a super cool story all the same.
