Twelve-year-old Cian has recently inherited his great-uncle's spooky manor house. On his first visit he senses a chill in the air, then sees an eerie blue glow from outside his bedroom window. Cian discovers that the house, and those within it, are under a terrible curse dating back to the reign of King Henry VIII of England.
Disturbing and mysterious events follow as Cian and his lively younger sister, Jo, try to find out just who or what is spooking the place. They witness dangers from the past which they have to stop becoming dangers of the future. But can they survive the sheer evil force of the ghost of Captain Grimstone, as he tries to reclaim the Tudor treasure?
