Sigourney, Barbara and Bruce, native New Yorkers and not always loving siblings, are each dealing with their own personal life-crisis; downsizing on Wall Street, suburban stress and the cost of therapy, and the terrible slump in the gay greetings card business. The last thing they need is to have their mom, Phyllis, the razor-sharp senior citizen from Hell who they thought was safely put out to grass in Florida, coming back to interfere.
Murder is out - purely for practical reasons. But Sigourney, who isn't an MBA for nothing, has a plan. They'll marry Mom off, and then she'll be someone else's problem. All they have to do is find an old, deaf, dumb and, above all, rich groom. "Operation Geezer Quest" is under way, and when it's all over, several romantic and bizarre twists and turns later, family life will never be the same again.
