Prague has been occupied by the Nazis, and for Josef Roubicek, an ordinary bank clerk, life will never be the same. He is forced to wear the Star of David, and overnight his world becomes alien and macabre. Disoriented, stalked by hunger, poverty and loneliness, dreaming of Ruzena, another man's wife, he roams the city. Soon his existence becomes centred on the small things he clings to in order to survive.
Moving and disturbing, 'Life With A Star' is a compelling portrait of a man's attempt to hold on to his humanity at all costs.
