He provides one of the most wide ranging church guides on the market, taking in a much larger geographical area than other books available, with many more illustrations.

Secret Churches has extensive sections on England, Scotland and Wales, and also includes a number of churches in Ireland. The book can be used as a field guide with the extensive illustrated glossary explaining key features and examples of architecture and art to look for. Beautifully presented, Richard's personable and informative commentary and photographs make this book a lovely reference or gift book.
