The dynamic world we all live in concerning cannabis use demands a heightened awareness and mindful approach by health and behavioral health care practitioners toward understanding the complexities of cannabis science, our cultural interpretations of use, risks involved, effective interventions and most importantly our patient's expressions of their own "biopsychosocial" experience. A Practitioners Guide to Cannabis was developed to provide relevant, timely and agnostic information regarding cannabis use and to provide a series of cannabis specific evidence-based tools and strategies to practitionersfdash;social workers, psychologists, professional counselors, alcohol/drug counselors, and providers of health care, including physicians, nurses, and physicianisquo;s assistants.
