In 'Calde Of The Long Sun', Silk emerges from his exploration of the underground passages and caverns of the Whorl to find Viron engulfed in revolutionary violence - and himself hailed (and damned) as leader of the uprising. As war threatens the stasis of Silk's world, the Long Sun itself seems to undergo ominous change . . .
