Gollies are back - there is an International Golly Club, classes on gollies, golly newsletters . . . This book shows you how to make a variety of gollies as well as how to use them as a decorating medium. There are easy projects for beginners to knit, sew or crochet their own gollies, as well as some harder patterns for more advanced craftspeople.
Twenty projects in all comprise not only Marjory's original golly designs, but also a range of delightful items incorporating the golly motif, such as a cross-stitch golly design for bibs and towels, an applique wall hanging and golly slipper faces. Using felt and velvet as well as some more common materials, there are also designs for knitted and sewn folly handpuppets, and a teacosy.
