Ten years after its 1901 founding, the Society of Illustrators resolved to publish an annual compilation of the year's best illustrations by the institution's members - a tradition that endures to the present day. This first collection features more than 80 images by influential illustrators of the 20th century, including Frederic Remington, James Montgomery Flagg, Franklin Booth, Charles Dana Gibson, and many others.
