Once a woman of wealth and privilege, Kate Whitehead now lives an ordinary life in an ordinary San Diego neighbourhood as ordinary Tricia Campbell. Tricia has found a measure of happiness with paramedic Scott McCall, although he knows nothing of her background, and they lives as a family with her son.
