The Story of God's People

The ancient Jewish world is filled with stories rich with drama, symbolism and imagery. This collection of sacred writings, The Hebrew Scriptures, commonly called the Old Testament, is the focus of 'In the Beginning: The Story of God's People'. 'In the Beginning: The Story of God's People' is a text for junior to middle secondary school students and:
- provides an introduction to the Hebrew Scriptures, commonly known as the Old Testament;
- explores the stories of the key women and men in ancient biblical times;
- contains an extensive range of activities and opportunities for looking closely at the biblical text;
- is consistent with religious education guide-lines.
