A story about losing a parent and coping with the feelings of grief, loss and anger.

Leo's class are all making flower pots to give to their mums at the Mothers Day breakfast. But Leo isn't making a pot. Leos mum died in a car crash and wont be going to the breakfast. Leo works on his memory book instead, but hes still very angry. He turns his memory book into an imagination book, of all the things his mum would have loved to do. In the end, Leo's dad takes him for a special breakfast and they remember Leo's mum together.

Leo's Book of Memories explores the issue of bereavement through a sensitive story that children can relate to. Providing a picture book approach to the PSHE topics of bullying, bereavement, divorce and adoption, A Helping Hand aims to help young children understand and cope with upsetting situations that they might face.

Other titles in the A Helping Hand series include: Roman and Iris: A Story of Bullying, What about Neko?: A Story of Divorce and Chloe's List of Firsts: A Story of Adoption
