With the crisis of an (under)World War recently averted, Cat's ready for her life with Bones to go back to "normal". Still, she hasn't been able to shake her latest borrowed power from voodoo queen Marie Laveau. Sure, the ability to call forth a revenant army when needed is cool, but sometimes a girl could use a little privacy with her sexy vampire husband.
Just when Cat is feeling a little relief, a new operations consultant assigned to her old team sets off Cat's warning bells as she discovers he has a prejudice against the undead. As if that weren't enough, Cat's ghostly companion Fabian warns her of a phantom with the ability to become solid each All Hallow's Eve. The angry spirit is infamous historical witch-hunter Heinrich Kramer who has a penchant for burning three innocent women each Halloween night. Cat is more than happy to sit back and wait to kick his corporeal ass when he takes form.... but how can she kill someone who's already dead?
