This book deals with those people who abduct children and adolescents, with a particular emphasis on abduction by strangers, a phenomenon brought sharply into international focus by the disappearance in August 2002 of two 10-year-old girls in the sleepy Cambridgeshire village of Soham in the United Kingdom.
How often does this kind of abduction of children by strangers occur?
