Ryan McGinness Works

Ryan McGinness is one of the most successful young contemporary artists. His work references the visual language of symbols and iconography while also combining a specific garish aesthetic of whimsical, layered swirls. This book will serve as a catalogue of his recent works: paintings, sculptures, prints and installations. It will also serve as a tutorial to how he approaches and solves the problem of applying his aesthetic to the various mediums in which works. Each "chapter" will offer a behind-the-scenes documentation of the various processes, outlining the original concept and documenting the various sketches, diagrams and then detailing the sequence of display and of the final product.
