Sena Jeter NaslundSena Jeter Naslund was born in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of a music teacher mother and a physician father. Naslund's fiction has been published in respected literary journals, she has received many grants and her previous boosk include, Ice Skaing at the North Pole, (short stories, 1989), The Animal Way to Love (novel, 1993), Sherlock in Love (novel, 1993) and The Disobedience of Water (short story and novella collection, 1999). Her new novel, Ahab's Wife is being published in the USA by William Morrow.

Sena Jeter Naslund currently lives in Louiseville with her husband, an atomic physicist, and her daughter.
