Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the world's largest charitable supporter of type 1 diabetes research, an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly and lasts a lifetime. JDRF Australia was founded in 1982 by a determined group of volunteers.

Internationally, JDRF has been involved in every major type 1 diabetes breakthrough of the last four decades. JDRF-funded researchers have driven the advancement of day-to-day disease management tools and accelerated the pace of research through a focus on four research priorities - immune therapies, beta cell therapies, glucose control therapies and complications therapies.

Throughout all local and international activities JDRF's mission remains constant - to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

QBD is very impressed with JDRF's leadership in curing, treating and preventing Type 1 diabetes and shares the philosophy of giving back to society.

Since 2012 QBD has donated $179,500.00 to the JDRF raised from reusable environmental bag sales.
Every whole dollar generated for each bag sold goes straight to the JDRF. These bags have been very popular with customers as they are convenient, inexpensive and allow customer to contribute regularly to a good cause.

The funds generated by QBD as well as other corporate partners are a driving force in assisting JDRF to achieve their mission.
