The Full Blood werewolves have been busy in their efforts to wipe out the Skinners. Werewolves have been carrying out deliberate strikes against the Skinners to take out senior members and new recruits alike. These attacks have been carried out all around the world, leaving the Skinners almost crippled. Cole and Paige's search for any sort of edge in this fight takes them through Toronto, on the trail of a Half Breed werewolves called Mongrels, thought to be created in one of the Full Blood's attacks. That hunt leads them to a den of Mongrels living in a subway station -- where a deadly virus has emerged, threatening humanity.
