Sour Lips follows the story of Amina Arraf, the blogger known as 'A Gay Girl In Damascus' who was kidnapped in Syria in 2011. However both the persona of Amina and her kidnapping was revealed to be a hoax, created by American blogger Tom MacMaster. Sour Lips tells the story of what could have unfolded in a real life situation, and explores a contentious link between the magic of fiction and docu-dramatic performance.
