Geralt de Riv is a witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless assassin. Yet he is no ordinary murderer: his targets are the multifarious monsters and vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent. He roams the country seeking assignments, but gradually comes to realise that while some of his quarry are unremittingly vile, vicious grotesques, others are the victims of sin, evil or simple naivety.

Untitled
A phantasmal force Sapkowski creates beauty out of realism in his epic war torn fantasy tale. The series is a refreshing enjoyable light read for those tired of typical fantasy tropes and want a story with grit or those trying to get into the genre. A brilliant mature series with magic woven into its words. - Lachlan (QBD)

Refreshing fantasy
Andrzej has an interesting writing style, both simplistic and yet vivid. It makes for an extremely enjoyable read, especially when coupled with such great characters and their stories. It's a pity his novels have taken so long to reach us here in the English-speaking world! Worth every cent, and look out for his other releases!
