What Lizard Is That?: Introducing Australian Lizards

Australia is unique in its lizard population. Some of the richest lizard habitats on Earth are Australia's deserts and with nearly 650 named species in five families, Australia can truly be called the 'Land of Lizards'. Indeed, ours is the only continent where the largest mobile terrestrial predators capable of active pursuit are not mammals but lizards.
