Alice-Miranda is home for the holidays! After a small horseriding accident, Alice-Miranda returns home from school to Highton Hall earlier than expected. Luckily, the holidays are just around the corner and her sprained ankle is on the mend. Alice-Miranda can't wait to spend some time with Mrs Oliver and Shilly and catch up with her friends Poppy and Jasper. There's also the annual Highton Hall garden party to plan! In the midst of the holiday fun, things take a turn when Alice-Miranda's father's business suddenly falls into disrepute. All signs point to the malicious rumours being spread by someone in the village. With the help of her friends, will Alice-Miranda be able to get to the bottom of this very personal matter?
