This volume provides recent experimental protocols and results from studies in electro and magnetocardiology and magnetoneurology. Also discussed is the analysis of the inverse problem with a detailed description of multipole technique applied to the bioelectric or biomagnetic fields measured on or near the body surface. Topics covered include: a general description of the development of extracellular bioelectric and biomagnetic fields and methods used in their analysis and measurement; the most effective electrodynamic models and most modern approaches to topographical (synchronous multilead) measurements; consideration of spatial configuration of the generator itself and its fields; and body surface mapping of electric and magnetic fields of the heart.
