Creating and Managing Wealth in Retirement.
Most people now understand the need to work hard to accumulate wealth for when they retire from the mainstream work force. What people do not realise is that managing your finances does not stop when you stop work. If we are lucky we can expect to live until we are 80 or more and if we retire at 60 that means that our superannuation has to last for at least 20 years!
This needs careful planning to ensure that the funds under management continue to create enough income to support us during this time. Then there is the question of estate planning. Do we want to leave wealth for our children or do we want to SKI (Spend the Kids Inheritance)?
