The work centres on life-course analysis from the 15-year Young Lives study of child poverty. The Young Lives study has been collecting qualitative and quantitative data on the same 12,000 children growing up in Ethiopia, India, Peru and Vietnam since 2002. This book draws on evidence from two cohorts of children, the first providing information from age 1 to 15 years, the second from age 8 to age 22. This data offers a uniquely powerful way to use life course analysis look at how lives unfolded and what makes a difference to boosting children’s chances.
