Dushma lives with her aunt in several cavernous brick rooms hundreds of steps above the city. Because she is unregistered, Dushma spends most of her time watching the people far below or walking the streets. She can't go to school, can't use the underground, can't earn any money. In fact, Dushma may as well not exist . . .
Except, she does exist, and they've found out - and now Dushma's on the run. From whom, she doesn't know. All she knows is that she must find somewhere new to hide. And in the electrical labyrinth hundreds of feet under London's streets, a place where Dushma's not permitted to set foot, she thinks she's found the perfect place to disappear . . .
