Snow is falling and Alice is learning to play chess. Going to the mirror she discovers it leads to a marvellous alternative world set out like a chess game, peopled with absurd and fantastical creatures. She meets a Red Queen, a White Knight and the twins, Tweedledum and Tweedledee and engages in nonsense rhymes and a feast which ends in chaos and Alice being crowned Queen . But is looking-glass land, where time runs backwards, real or is it only a dream?
