With every turn of the page, the stories ask children to make jewel-tone pattern play blocks that can be used right on or in the recessed pages of the book. Each Junior Groovy Tube book comes with a clear spine to store the hands-on manipulatives. At the end of each story, kids will extend their learning with games and are encouraged to create their own designs.
In this book, the kingdom's artists are commissioned to create royal windows for the king. Upon the artist's presentation, the royal windows break. Children must help the artists put the royal windows back together and create additional windows by using the colourful pattern blocks stored in the tube and the recessed pages in the book. children will begin to recognise patterns through the use of shapes and colours.
