Mad Maddalena the dwarf and her monkey, Momo, take Worm to the witch, Circe Cruel-Claw. She tells Worm that he must dig up a magic plant, mandragora, that grows under the gallows. The medicine man, Doctor Mandragora, says that mandragora doesn't exist! And even if it does, can a plant kill a dragon?
