This is a modern flood story. An old man looks after many neglected and strange animals on his lonely hill-top. There's an old circus lion, and many others. When it rains so much there is a flood, a wise boy rescues first the animals, then the old man. At first the townspeople are distant, but then they help too. Harmony is restored to the valley.
