The Little Yellow Digger is brought in to the local primary school to dig a swimming pool. Unfortunately the Little Digger hits a water main, almost drowning the Principal in the process. Since the school is now without water the students are packed off to the nearby beach for the afternoon, much to their delight. While they are away, the council workers fix the problem and the Little Yellow Digger goes on to finish the hole for the new pool. But everyone remembers the day the digger came to school.
