Gerda leaves the comfort of her home on an epic journey to rescue her best friend, Kai. A stray sliver from an evil mirror has put him under the wicked Snow Queen's spell, and only Gerda can recognize and break this enchantment. Gerda's determination sees her through many great trials. Icy puzzle pieces spread out on the floor of the Snow Queen's palace and solve the riddle. This new retelling follows all the fairy tale conventions that make these stories so enduring. When Gerda and Kai are finally reunited they must face the Snow Queen's final task.
