Kaz, a Japanese boy in Queensland, is kidnapped by a remarkable group of animals, something like cassowaries, but bigger and with highly developed intelligence and over-inflated sense of self-importance. They needed Kaz for his computer skills to prevent a dam and uranium mine being built at the expense of much wildlife.
