- I am a QBD Books Loyalty Member. Can I upgrade to VIP?Yes. You can upgrade your existing QBD Books Loyalty Program membership to VIP membership here.
Please have your QBD Books loyalty card number ready for easy sign up. This is an 8 digit number beginning with a Q located underneath the barcode on your loyalty card. - How do I become a QBD VIP Member?You can join the QBD VIP Program in any QBD store nationwide or by visiting us online here and providing us with a valid email address, contact phone number and name.
The QBD Books VIP Program is a paid membership and the first 12 months subscription fee is taken when you join.
Fees for membership are $25 for standard VIP subscription and $40 for GOLD VIP subscription. - I am having trouble linking my QBD VIP card to my existing online accountIf you are receiving an error message when trying to link your VIP card to your existing online account, please email loyalty@qbd.com.au with your full name, email address and loyalty card number and we can manually apply this for you.
- I have lost my VIP membership cardReplacement cards can be obtained in any QBD Books store. Find your local store here. Replacement cards cannot be issued online.
When presenting in store to get a replacement card, please have your email address, phone number and full name ready with id such as a drivers license to prove your identity.
Currently replacement cards do not attract a fee.
Once a replacement card has been added to your VIP membership account, any credit in the account is transferred to the new card and the old card is rendered invalid.
VIP Credit
- I made a purchase in store and have not received my creditA QBD Books VIP Program member account must be used at the time of sale in order for credit to be earned. This can occur through the presentation of your QBD Books VIP Program card, or staff searching member details in the database.
Credit will be allocated to a QBD Books VIP Program member’s account for in store purchases immediately after each eligible purchase.
If you have made a purchase and the credit has not been added to your card, please contact loyalty@qbd.com.au with your card number and a copy of the receipt and we will investigate for you. - I made a purchase online and have not received my creditA QBD Books VIP Program member account must be used at the time of the online order for credit to be earned. This can occur by entering appropriate log-in information at QBD Books or Australian Geographic shops online.
Credit for online purchases will be allocated to a QBD Books VIP Program member’s account when the sale is completed and the item/s have been dispatched.
If you have made a purchase and the credit has not been added to your card, please contact loyalty@qbd.com.au with your card number and a copy of the receipt and we will investigate for you. - Can I earn credit when paying with Afterpay or Zip?No. You cannot accrue credit on transactions completed using the payment methods Afterpay or Zip.
- Can I earn credit when paying with a gift voucher?Credit will not be earned on the redemption of a QBD Books gift voucher and cannot be redeemed to buy a QBD Books gift voucher. However, credit may be earned when purchasing a QBD Book gift voucher.

- Is my personal information secure?Yes it is. The information we collect from you is collected in the strictest confidence for the exclusive use of QBD Books. We will not sell or share personal information with any third parties.
When making a purchase from our Online Store we also collect credit card information and delivery details. This information is used to charge you for the products you purchase and to deliver these products to you.
