A little girl finds that no matter what she tries to do, she is always overshadowed by her older, bigger sister. But then Small comes into her own one landmark day when her sister's parrot is caught up a tree and her sister is afraid to climb up to save it. It is Small who has to come to her rescue, and the incident makes her realise that she doesn't have to live in anyone's shadow any more.
