The Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat (Lasiorhinnus krefftii), a critically endangered species, is found in one colony in central Queensland, Australia. Jill Morris tells the history of the species from the point of view of Wombat Male 25, with sensitive, colourful illustrations by Sharon Dye. Members of the Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat Recovery Team have assisted in the development of this important book, produced at a crucial time for the survival of these precious animals.
