Thrown together by chance with the warrior and the assassin, it is Rhapsody who re-names The Brother "Achmed" and in so doing breaks the bonds that hold him in thrall to the fire-born demon Tsoltan. But the demon wants The Brother back . . .

Together the three new companions escape into the roots of the World Tree, Sagia, and embark on a quest to save their world.
