Selby has landed a major film role - Frodo, the talking dog - in a major sci-fi film. The film's producers use animation and voiceovers to give him the appearance of speaking; and, as part of the publicity for the film Selby is lauded and feted around town as a real talking dog. But there is a hitch - a crucial scene has been mucked up and the producers don't have the money to fix it. Selby secretly sneaks into the studio and films himself talking. The film is found, the movie is made and Selby wins an Academy Award. But how long will his new star shine?
